What this site collects, which is almost nothing

Stipple & Shade is a set of static files. There are no accounts, no forms, no mailing list and no advertising trackers, and this page says exactly what that leaves.

The short version

This site does not ask you for anything. There is no account to create, no form to fill, no newsletter to join and no comment box. Nothing you type is collected here, because there is nowhere on the site to type.

What the server sees

Serving a page means the web server receives the request: the page asked for, the IP address it came from, the browser's user-agent string, the time, and the page that referred you, if any. That is standard for any website and it is kept only as ordinary server logging, for security and for keeping the site up.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising tracker. If measurement is ever added, this page will say which tool, what it records and how to opt out, before it goes live rather than after.

Some links leave this site for a company's own website, and a few of those are paid links, marked where they appear and listed on the affiliate disclosure. Following one takes you to that company's site, where its own privacy policy and its own cookies apply — not this one. A paid link may set a cookie that tells the company this site sent you. It carries no name, no email address and nothing about your health, because this site holds none of those things to pass on.

Your scalp is nobody's data here

It is worth saying plainly on a health-adjacent site: nothing you read here is recorded against you. There is no quiz, no assessment, no “what stage are you at” tool, and no profile being built from the pages you open — which is also why this site cannot tell you anything about your own case.

Children

The subject matter is adult and this site is not aimed at children, does not knowingly collect anything from them, and holds no personal data to delete in any case.

Asking about your data

Write to [email protected]. Realistically the answer will be that there is nothing held beyond the server logs described above, but the question will be answered properly, and if this policy changes the change will be dated on this page.
